Built For Guidance, Not Guesswork

How The Grid keeps the workflow useful without pretending the app is the electrician.

Workflow aid, not the competent person

The Grid helps capture, organise and reuse job information. It does not replace inspection, testing, risk assessment, certification duties, training or professional judgement.

BS 7671 verified at source

Guidance is original plain-English support with references where useful. Users must verify final decisions against the official current BS 7671 / IET source and relevant scheme or manufacturer guidance.

Electrician confirms every output

Component suggestions, material lists, quote starters, site packs and certificate preparation stay provisional until the electrician checks and corrects them.

Site Pack sharing controls

Public Site Pack links are view-only and can be disabled, regenerated, access-code protected, expired, or issued as frozen versions so later edits do not alter the shared record.

Clear trial and billing path

The trial explains that card details are collected upfront and payment starts after 7 days unless cancelled. Stripe handles card storage, invoices and the billing portal.

Export and deletion controls

Users can export property packs, delete account records, and the deletion flow now attempts to cancel active Stripe subscriptions before app records are removed.

The Grid does not guarantee compliance, specification accuracy, supplier availability or quote profitability. Final responsibility remains with the electrical professional.
